Offered for sale, rom KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, s this very rare and attractive late TR3B Roadster with the 2.2 liter engine and full syncromesh gearbox. This car is a matching numbers example and will prove to be a good investment going forward, ue to it's rarity.
This car received a nice cosmetic restoration in the past which is still holding up well. This included full bodywork and paint (even including the engine compartment), hrome, ubber, iring harness, ery nice detailed engine bay, estored dashboard, ull retrim in black vinyl and cut pile carpet, nd new weather equipment. Stoneguards have been added as well as wind deflectors.
The car presents very well overall. There is some bubbling on the LH lower fender and a few bubbles on the RH (photos), ut the rest of the body appears fine with nice straight panels and good factory gaps.Mechanically, he car is in fine fettle and runs and drives very strong. It's robust 2.2 liter engine behaves well and pulls hard through the crisp 4-speed gearbox. The car is great fun to drive. I would rate the entire driveline as "excellent", lthough the steering box is a little bit on the heavy side. All of the fluids are clean and up to the mark. The car rides, andles, nd brakes very well. The TR3B is the final variant of the sidescreen model and all of it's mechanical upgrades reveal themselves in a quick blast down the road in this fast car...Overall, his is a scarce opportunity to acquire a very late production TR3B with matching numbers with the TR4 spec driveline. This attractive car is on the button and ready to be enjoyed by it's next enthusiastic owner. It presents very well and has benefited from a previous cosmetic restoration as needed. It should be preserved in it's current state and driven often.
