This car was intended to be mine and remain with me, but life changes constantly. I didn’t spare time and money to do it the way I dreamed, I worked on it for 4 years. This car was totally dismantled before going to the body shop for a nice paint job and receive the fresh Stage II engine from my prior ’68-GT6. Car’s color was originally red and remains red. Stage II engine. Engine block: bore .020 over New rods, Rockers, Valves: lighten rods ARP bolts Crankshaft work: grind and balance complete engine Head work: valve job and surface Camshaft: performance grind .325 lift 280 degrees duration Carburetors: Triple Weber 40 DCOEs. Difficult to find polished triple split intake manifolds, one per carburetor. New chromed valve cover. New Mallory Electric distributor. Truly one of a kind custom made and powder coated exhaust manifold. Monza exhaust system with two pipes, triple mufflers and four chromed ends. Oil cooler with braided hoses relocated below the water radiator for better cooling. Gear reduction starter. Overdrive on 3rd and 4th. New transmission tunnel cover (fiber glass). Custom fitted large radiator with twin automatic electric fans. Brakes are standard. Rebuilt alternator. New 4 SPAX adjustable shocks. Powder coated front end in Red, coils too. New bushings, ball joins, hardware and else. Modified bonnet (hood) from a GT6 ’68 with chromed side vents. Pop up moon roof for better air circulation (these British cars get hot inside). New engine filters/oil/fuel and fresh fluids. Alloy polished wheels with 2 new tires. The other two are in excellent condition. Custom interior: used two full skins of Red leader on the upholstery. Seats, door panels, dash pad, front shades, side pockets, tunnel covers and knee paddings. The car as a nice leather smell inside. New Red carpet all around. Red velvet head liner. Trunks is Red carpeted as well. The interior was fully sound/heat insulated prior to install carpets, moldings, head liner, doors, rear fenders and else. New Red 3 point seat belts with Triumph emblems on them. New battery. New horns. Original obsolete radio AM-FM not installed but the car is prewired for front and back speaker. Radio is included. Professionally refinished wood dashboard. A custom combination of ‘68 and ‘70 with extra Clock and oil pressure gauge, with nicer switches and chromed instrument’s bevels (not black). The tachometer was professionally retrofitted from cable to electronic due to the new Mallory distributor. I am including the original dashboard's center panel finished on Red leader with the original heater frame (extra), temp-fuel gauges and switches. New Mahogany steering wheel and hub. New Walnut shift knob. New stainless steel threshold plates with Triumph logo. Hub caps with logo too. Freshly re-chromed front bumper. New trim kit (seals) all around doors, ajar, hood, fenders, windows, etc. New seals and finisher chromed strips on the windshield and rear glass. All work on the engine was done by The Chequered Flag in Chatsworth, CA. Last engine tune up and carburetors work done by California Carburetor in Bell, CA. I will include a number of parts; leftover new ones and other used. The new gearbox fiberglass tunnel is not a good fit and is partially in place (unfortunately I tossed the old one) therefore the radio assembly and driver side under-dash pocket are not in place. Needs alignment and since the Stage II engine has only 1000 miles the second valve adjustment and timing will need to be done when convenient. Being a vintage car, vehicle does not have an existing warranty and is sold as is. Clear California Title on my name and Non-Op status.
