Description of 1967 Triumph Spitfire WideBody Targa 327c.i. V8 4Speed Trans/Axle IRS

The Triumph has been primarilystored for about 20 years. Its not much of a Triumph, more of a mini custom Corvette with the 327 chevy and 4speed Saginaw transaxle. The car has the 1st owner USA issued 1970 title. It was designed and built by a engineer. It is built with smarts, not a cobbled up machine. There are formed lexan covers for the headlight buckets. It is a 2500lb 350hp nearly 50/50 weight distribution 4 wheel independent suspension car. It may look odd but the specs can equal serious performance numbers.
Engineis a 1967 327 Chevy, 4bolt main,Double hump fueli heads, it runs strong, no smoke, no leaks and sounds wicked. It was built by a speed shop in Chandler Arizona. There is no smoke or leaks and it has a great exhaust note. The cooling system pressurizes and does not leak. I have had to use a little spray of starting fluid a few times after letting it sit for a few weeks. The clutch is strong and goes into gears/shifts withno issues.Clutch is a coild sping 10" heavy pressure clutch. The clutch pedal is very stiff. It has a transaxle is aSaginaw 4speed. The shift throw is very short. The radiator is1970s chevy truck. The gastank is modified for larger capacity. The front brakes suspension are from aSpitfire GT6 and the rear are GM drums with a pressure regulator. The master cylinder was replaced. The brakes still are a bit spongy and could use a fluid flush. The proper Dot fluid for real rubber parts is included. The custom dashboardhas working gauges. Some of the switches/electronics need to be cycled to start working. turn signals work, but some bulbs are burned out. same with headlights.
Only therockers have rust. the underbody, floors or frame, nuts/bolts, are clean. Common for the rocker to corrode due to english thin metal I am told by triumph guys, regardless, its rusted. The body is a not a complete fiberglass body. The original hood, trunk lid and body metal is all used with fiberglass laidovera steel heavy gauge wire-frame. The fiberglass body is not weak or flimsy . There are many cracks in the body. The wire frame is strong under it all, they will required grinding out and smoothing back out. The targa top is a two piece custom made piece/set.
It has been driven only around the neighborhood and allowed to get up to opperatiing temp to make sure all is well. Cooling system pressurizes, maintains a cool temp. That has been done about2 dozen times in the last 6-8 months. The tires are too old, flat spotted, and dryrotted from storage, it will need to be towed and at minimum new tires before driving at any higher speed. They are old BFG on American Racing Vector custom vintage wheels.
I have had the for 8 months and have not had time to do anything. I cant see me having time to even do the general maintenance required any time soon. I am moving in the next 2 months as wheel. So here it is. I have listed it in the past and had bidders did not follow through at all. please follow through if you bid. Thanks.
