1974 1/2 Triumph TR 6. White with black convertible top. The body has been re painted. Some parts of the body need re painting, but it looks good. The top was perfect, but when I took the photos, the top rubbed on the top frame and there is a 1 inch cut in the top. In 1974 1/2 there were some major mechanical changes to Triumph TR 6 cars. The rear suspension was completely re designed. The angles of the the trailing arms were completely changed. On the early TR6s, when the accelerator was depressed the rear end would squat down. This eventually led to the differential mount tearing off the frame. When the rear end was re designed the rear end did not squat down anymore. The transmission was also changed. The transmission became a very close ratio box. 1st, 2nd and third were very close. Very good shifting. The internal bush on the second gear was changed from brass to steel. I worked at a Triumph dealer as a line mechanic when the 74 1/2 came out and we noticed the changes with the first drive. This car has sat for about 15 years. The car needs to go to someone who can keep it up and has garage space for it. The front transmission seal leaks. The ujoints have all gone dry and will need to be changed. The left visor is missing. The right side dash pad is worn. There is a new pad that needs to be installed. There is an extra set of wheels with the original tires. The windshield washer bottle is missing. Local pickup is preferred, but the car can be shipped. I don't know what the shipping charges will be.
