Description of 1967 Triumph TR4A Standard |
1967 Triumph TR4A for sale, non-IRS version. This car has had a recent mechanical and electrical rebuild (invoices available). The motor was lightly upgraded to give it just a little more pep and the lucas electrics were replaced with a complete advanced auto wire system to make this a truly reliable car. In addition to this the car has a Toyota 5-speed conversion so that the thing can actually be driven at freeway speeds without revving it half to death. I'll not list all upgrades here, but the usual alternator, cooling fan, etc. are already done. The car is as rust free as possible and has been dry stored for the entire time I've owned it. The TR has been used as a driver which is a good thing for these cars. This car is not cosmetically perfect, refer to photos for paint imperfections and the interior while functional is definitely showing it's age. The seats are from a TR6 and do provide the advantage of headrests. The bumpers are off the car in the photos but are in my possession and are included in the sale. I can also include the 4-speed non o/drive box that came with the car. The car also has a glass fiber non-oem surrey top backlight. The roof section is not present but they are available from the usual places. I can include a spare short block motor and a small amount of spares but would need to negotiate separately. The car is shown with minilite replica wheels on it, it will be sold with 5.5" steel wheels and can negotiate separately for 4 60spoke wire wheels Just message me for what i have and price, etc. The car is located in Oregon, is sold as-is with no warranty any inspections are welcomed and encouraged. This is a car that has survived since 1967 so I'll answer all and any questions relating to the car and provide any additional info I can but I do claim to know the full history nor can i vouch for any work undertaken while the car was not in my possession. As always buyer is responsible for shipping, although I can help at this end, car is listed local so I may end the auction early. Deposits will not be returned if full payment is not made. Great car, sad to see it go but I need the space for the latest project. |
