A genuine original & one of the last TR3A Roadsters to be produced, this diamond-in-the-rough has just been brought out of long-term storage. Pictured on a cloudy rainy day (appropriately as you would likely see in Great Britain haha) here in front of the British car restoration shop in Knoxville, TN, where it was stored awaiting restoration, this fine example is briefly being offered for sale for a week long auction and can be yours for a fair price, but if not sold here on eBay, it shall be restored to its former glory! This is a very honest car, showing all its dust and dirt from storage, (the washing I leave to you as part of the fun of acquisition) along with its dents and dings from a long history of enjoyment by a former owner-- we'll call that patina! The good news about this little roadster is that it shows no evidence of having been in a major accident, is very straight with excellent body lines, and the dings present (see photos) on the original steel panels are definitely all repairable by any experienced bodyman. And, best of all, there is no evidence of rust on ANY of the body panels, including the front lower fenders, rocker panels, and dog legs, where most any OTHER car you see will require rust repair! Look around! I have checked the underside and found NO rust! (I plan to add more photos of the underside and spare tire compartment when I can get to the storage warehouse in the next day or so.) Also note that some water had leaked onto the floorboards and have mostly surface rust, although water soaked carpet has created rust holes in a few spots on the front parts of mainly the passenger side, shown in one of the photos. The floors are thin metal from the factory, but are inexpensive and straightforward to repair by patching, or replace the entire floor, depending on your particular preference, but present rust is definitely not structural as the body shell sits on a heavy frame. Remember that often you are better off buying a car that shows what it needs versus buying one that has a pretty paint job covering rust and horrors! Many a story has been told of the ones that have been recently patched and prettied up, but this car is totally honest and what you see is what you get!The former owner said he had an experienced import mechanic do a complete valve job and also replaced the hydraulic cylinders for the brakes and clutch just a few years ago, and get the car running and driving. I have not tried to start it in my ownership but it should not take much to get going if you want to drive it with its current patina! (See photos of engine & master cylinder and previous recent work is evident.)This car will need top bows and a new top, as they did not come with the car, but are both easily obtainable on eBay or from many suppliers.Grab this one before I change my mind! Rust-free, straight examples are impossible to find these days!I am selling the car in its as is condition being almost a 60 year old vehicle, therefore impossible to describe every detail although I have and will disclose honestly as I observe. I encourage questions and viewings if possible. Otherwise, all sales are final and I will consider your bid a serious purchase offer. All shipping is at buyer's expense, and my assistance is offered with meeting your shipper if needed. The mileage is unknown, and the title is clear, passed on to the new owner signed by the former owner along with a notarized bill of sale from me at your request, so registration in your state should not be a problem.I require a $1000 deposit upon auction end, with a 24 hour deadline, by PayPal or other method by which it may arrive within that time. Balance is due within 10 days, pick-up within 2 weeks unless other arrangements are agreed upon.Good luck with this unpolished jewell of a TR!
