Description of 1974 Triumph TR-6 |
Very nice, well kept, and well performing 1974 Triumph TR6. Was very hesitant about selling it, especially since it's nice weather, but I really need the space to warrant rarely driving it. I've driven it no more than 5 times since buying it in 2014. Literally putting 35-40 miles max on it since 2014. The car has 66k original miles. Mostly by the first owner back in the 1970s. Does not have overdrive. I am the third owner. The previous owner did some nice things to the car: installing Monzo exhaust, installing new ignition coil, Kuomo tires, and he painted the car from yellow to black. (which I prefer actually). I had the carbs, distributor, wires, plugs, wiring harnesses, all done. New valve cover and caps, gaskets, and weatherproofing all new. There are no mechanical issues with the car. I have all the paperwork going back to the original owner in 1974. All original parts come with the car, including seats and exhaust. Comes with a lot of extra parts and specialty tools that should stay with the vehicle. New Valve Cover, cap, and screws New weatherproofing around windows New fuse cover and wiring connectors New carpets New Kumho tires Newly synced, and cleaned carbs All fresh Redline transmission fluid Newly bled and adjusted clutch lines Insulated fuel line Aluminum carb shield Newly rebuilt distributor, cap, rotor, wires Newer Ignition coil Brand new battery Aftermarket Monzo Pace Setter exhaust (comes with the original set) New brakes and master cylinder Well maintained and cared for New TR6 Shifter knob, not installed (prefer the older one) Miata conversion kit seats and original seats many parts: headlights, belts, distributor parts Comes with 4-5 boxes of back up parts probably $600-700 worth of parts, headlights, electrical components, tubes, clamps. Fuel filter, etc. Still to restore: Weather stripping around windshield, shows some cracking Would love to put spoked wheels on it Top is fine, PO had a small tear, I have a repair kit, but its never up anyhow.Headlight switch is always on at start of car, (need to move wire)Fuel gauge power wire needs to be attached. (these two items work fine, I just installed dash and the little spade prongs can fall off, very easy). I'm pretty particular to sell this car to the right owner. Will not accept bids from individuals with negative feedback or zero feedback. This car will go to an owner that will appreciate it. This car should be garage kept, well maintained and preferably to someone who is familiar with these engines and cars. Fantastic car for the coast and daytrips. Thanks for looking. |
