Description of 1967 Triumph Spitfire 1967 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE MK2.

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very nice Spitfire in it's rare MK2 form. This car was just purchased from it's Midwest owner who had the car in storage for the last 5 years following a very nice cosmetic restoration. These cars are quite rare in this nicely restored, well-preserved condition. This car appears very genuine, rustfree, and accident-free showing a very nice main body tub.The body and paint on this car are very, very nice for an early Spitfire of this era. The car received a quality repaint on a rustfree body and chassis with all of the chromework being removed at the time. A new windshield and gasket was fitted. Most all of the brightwork is very good to excellent original items.The car's interior is in very nice shape too. The original seat set are superb and are correctly upholstered to match the panel kit. Newer carpets are fitted. The original top dash pad looks perfect. The newer softop unfortunately has a small tear and should be repaired or replaced. The trunk is receiving a new original upholstery kit.The car's underbonnet looks very clean and tidy. We have just completed renewing of all of the brake and clutch hydraulics. A new exhaust system is currently being fitted. The car's correctly sequenced engine runs very well and the car drives nicely and robustly down the road with good mechanicals. The car's underside looks normal and solid, not showing any rust or harm.Overall, this early Spitfire is a special find and is hard to replace in this well-preserved, nicely-restored condition.
