Description of 1960 Triumph TR3 |
This 1960 Triumph was purchased in 2011 and restoration was completed in 2014. Car was purchased from govdeals and was picked up in San Antonio, Texas. The tag that was on the car showed a last registration in Texas, 1975. The car was in very poor condition, all four brakes were hard stuck, there were missing parts and rust in all of the expected places plus a few more. The car under went an extensive frame off complete restoration. No expense was spared in the rebuilding of this car. Moss motors knew me by name. All work was professionally performed and documented. Frame work was performed by Ratco out of New York, leather seats and interior were made in Ohio, car was assembled out of Birmingham, and the list goes on. Every nut and bolt is new. Every rubber piece is new. All of the original gauges were restored. Engine was built with a few mild performance upgrades. The brakes, the shocks, all joints, the wiring harness, the lights, the hinges are all new. All work and parts are documented and will be included with car. What we have now is a great little car that is spirited to drive and turns heads everywhere it goes. Idle is smooth, there are no funny smells or noises, it shifts well through all gears and the electric overdrive works as it should. The only known issue is the fuel sender unit is stuck so the fuel gauge does not show proper level. Since the restoration was completed the car has been driven about 4500 miles. All of the pictures except the last four or five show the cars condition as it sits today. The last pictures show the cars condition when we purchased it and the binder that contains receipts and pictures from the rebuild. There are hundreds of pictures (2 CD's included).
