1959 TR3a TS51598LReady to drive and enjoy: 2-door roadster with ragtop and third seat. 4-cyl. This TR3 may not be considered show car quality. However, it is a head turning daily driver. Interior seats were reupholstered and new carpeting and dashboard installed. The car was painted 20 years ago and shows some minor aging but overall has held its beauty as the car has been garaged. The car is registered in Connecticut since 2000. The odometer stopped working at 52,000. However, the trip odometer still functions. never driven in the winter since i had It since 1999. The car currently has approximately 73,000 miles to date. Since purchasing the car in 1999, over the past 21 years I have replaced the water pump, gas tank, chrome gas cap, frontend ball joints, steering idler arms, side door interior panels, and convertible top. Carburetors, generator, and starter have been rebuilt and a new starter coil installed. Shocks (lever and tube) were replaced at 72, 000 miles. Rear brake lines, front brake hoses and oil pump were all replaced. Front and back brakes were replaced and I rebuilt the brake master cylinder. In a box are clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. However, the car does not need these parts to be replaced at this time. Since it was never driven in the winter the heater and fan is not installed but it would need the heater core fixed it leaks. The side curtain frames are good but you would need to reupholstered them.Tires have good tread left. The interior floors and trunk floor are original and look good. However, prior owner professionally welded new floors over the original (why – I don’t know). History of the car: This car comes with a birth certificate from British Heritage showing a manufacture date of May 7th, 1959. I purchased the car from a dealer in Bluebell, PA who had purchased from it from an estate in Lancaster, PA. While in Lancaster, the car was owned by a doctor and car collector who stored the vehicle in a barn for 30 years. Originally the car was powder blue with blue interior. The engine is original to the car. Car is in solid shape and ready for the next owner to enjoy as much as I have. There is no title but a bill of sale would be provided.
