Description of 1971 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

I converted this Beetle from gas to electric in 2008. since than I've put about 10. 00 miles on it. I have about $15. 00 invested in the car. The body is in fair condition. although there is some rust on the under cartage. the floor boards have been repaired due to rust AMD 19HP single shaft motor. nbsp;Curtis 72-120V/ 400A modle 1221C-7401 Controller. nbsp;Zivan DC-DC converterZivan 220ACV input 72VDC output battery chargerCurtis Battery Fuel gauge. In the photos it shows six batteries under the hood. four batteries behind the back seat. and two in the rear by the motor. since the photos were taken I've changed that Six under the hood and six where the back seat used to be. I removed the back seat (I still have the Seat) because it was too difficult to service the two batteries by the motor. I Did hit a top speed of 60 mph but that was only once. i'd say the top speed it 55mph. When I first built it and up until this summer the range was about 40-45 miles (depending on speed and conditions) this summer the range was cut down to about 10 mph because of a weak battery. the batteries that are in it were installed new about 18 months ago. one of the is weak now and needs to be replace (I don't know which one. I did not test them individually) My commute is only 5 miles a day so it didn't matter. I have all the receipts. diagrams. and paper work from the conversion. Although I did everything well on this conversion and didn't skimp of any parts. this is still an electric vehicle and ALL EV cars are a little quirky. If you're unfamiliar with EV cars then you should first learn about them before purchasing one. Do NOT think that you could buy this (or any) elctric car and just drive it without having to do consistent maintenance and/or repairs. Do NOT bid on this unless you are knowledgeable about EV and can work on them. I encourage you to ask any questions about the car. I would like the buy to know exactly what they are buying. I'd be happy to take and send more photos. just let me know what you want photos of taken.
