Description of 1986 Volkswagen Cabrio |
We are in our 70's and bought this car because it was cute, porty and wanted to use it in Parades, hich we do. It is popular and people cheer and whistle and clap when we do parades. It very seldom gets used other than for parades. The license plates have been expired since April.2015. It has been recently completely tune up with new spark plugs, park plug wires, istributor cap and rotor. The Alternator was rebuilt and the front brakes were replace before the plates expired in April 2015. I guess they really get a kick out of us old folks in a cute little sporty amplified sounding little VW convertible. It has a stainless steel Tune Exhaust with a Cold Air Intake making the motor sound amplified like a bigger more powerful motor. It really is a quick and fun to drive although. The sporty front racing rally seats replaced the stock seats keeping up with the sporty theme of rally strips, uned exhaust, old air intake and the full ground effect package. We find the front rally seats to be very comfortable. It always starts right away even when setting for a month at a time. It doesn't smoke, eak fluids and it gets great gas mileage. When we purchased this car about three years ago and were told that the motor had been rebuilt at 157,708, nbsp;which is about 35 thousand miles ago. Make this fun, porty, ute little car your grocery store gas saver. Thank you for looking. |
