Description of 1987 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

This is the fourth and final one of these we are doing. My personal van is still for sale on thesamba. Two others were sold early last year. We are only trying to meet the break even point on this van and still have enough to meet our charitable contribution to our children's school, lub Blvd elementary, or new play ground sports equipment.

127,500 miles on frameVehicle Purchase - $7000 February of 2015. Was purchased from the second owner's son. Father had passed away and a duplicate title was issued. When my shop purchased the vehicle, hey lost the title again. Another title was issued. currently is registered in Durham NC but for whatever reason is not showing yet. Subsequently, e are the fourth owners. This van did sit for many many years. Thus needing a complete full restoration.
Full body Restoration - $8445 which included windows out full body media blast, ncludes all rust seams removed and repaired or replaced, hosphoric acid soak, and brushed POR-15 coating, OR-15 top coat and rubberized seam sealer on all interior seams. It is a two and two paint system. (two coats prime, wo coats paint two coats clear). Full window seal replacement
Full Interior Restoration - $3,671 includes fully refurbished dash, eader core and blower motor. New carpeting throughout, M sound dampening installation throughout all doors and panels. Refurbished molded plastic interior panels and door panels. Reconditioned 1989 Bluestar interior and new synthetic tent. DVD, atellite, luetooth stereo with Lanzar audio speakers. Includes one year paid subscription to Sirius XM radio. Three point rear facing seat belts (not pictured)
Dual Battery System - $690 includes ProMariner ProSport 20 Generation 3 20 Amp, 2/24 Volt, Bank 3 Battery Charger with world source one 55 amp/hr AGM secondary battery with external hook up in drivers front wheel well.
Full suspension restoration upgrade - $2864 includes every bushing, ut and bolt replacement, nbsp;Ball joints, ilstein suspension all around. Re-tempered factory springs for an added .75in ride height. Includes full media blast, hosphoric acid soak and POR-15 coating.
Full brake upgrade - $2,450 Stock new front brakes set-up including new lines, ardware, heel bearings etc. Rear Audi A4 disc brake conversion with all new hardware and steel breaded line
Full steering restoration - $1,125 with remanufactured rack, ew tie rods, ie rod ends and pump
Full Transmission build - $1,996 includes all new bearings, ew syncros, ll gaskets and seals, ew clutch shaft, ew main shaft, hromoly diff cover, hromoly pinion nut, efurbished Ring and Pinion 4.86 and new clutch disc, lywheel, hroughout bearing and pilot bearing.
Optional Peloquin Differential for additional $1500
Reconditioned fuel tank and entire fuel system ( all new lines and aluminum crossover pipe fittings)
Reconditioned AC system with rebuilt compressor and hoses from friends at Austin Rebuilders and new condensor.
Wheel and Tire Set -up - $1410 Mefro 16 in Rims with Nokian Hakkapeliitta CS 215/65 R16 (discontinued but full warranty) Comes with fifth one for spare.
Also, ncluded is a hitch mounted swing arm spare tire carrier (not pictured).
Full Cooling system restoration - $1,349 includes all new cooling hoses and stainless steel cooling pipes. New Radiator and all new sensor and switches. Every hose clamp is ABA.
Full factory spec rebuilt engine - $5,991 using only German quality parts including Mahle Piston with New AMC heads (gone through for perfect performance). Complete new fuel injection system including line, njectors, AF (reman'd) and regulator etc. Complete new exhaust with Cat.
Full refurbish of entire vehicle wiring harness. Tested and repaired at needed. completely reinsulated. see pics

Company info:Roscoe's Phaeton Engineering will be no longer, e are changing our name to Phaeton Motorwerks. In the move from Austin TX to Durham NC I no longer have any certified engineers on staff, ubsequently, C law requires you to have them on staff to use Engineering in your company name. Fair enough and obvious. All reviews and customers are being transferred from RPE to PM, LC as soon as we get the business name approval from the Secretary of the State. Should be by the end of the week. Same goes for the website. Should be up again by the end of the week. Sad.
