Description of 1984 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

The sweet bus has been on quite the adventures this summer ~ from Colorado to Thermopolis Hot Springs, ellowstone National Park, he Tetons, rater National Monument, un River, R, he Lava Caves, rater Lake National Park, ndian Peaks Wilderness, olden Gate State Park, he Rocky Mountain National Park, nd more! We camped in style and comfort! She cruises quite nicely at 70+mph down the interstate, hich is rare to find in an '84.
Before our adventures, oulder RV serviced the fridge and stove to get them running smooth. We also bought a water pump and installed it so the sink works great! This bus has been well-cared for and given lots of love. It was previously owned by a Volkswagon Vanagon mechanic in Fort Collins who swapped the engine. The new engine has approximately 80k on it; we do not know exact mileage however. This is not your typical Vanagon -- she cruises up hills and holds her own in the mountains! We were actually passing people, hich really surprised me having owned one of these before.
There is a pop-top with two beds. There is a hanging closet. There are several storage compartments and drawers. The two front seats swivel so you can enjoy a game of cards, arkle, r dinner together. It has the table for the back seat as well. We also have an extra storage compartment for the middle floor area. There is a dash cover to preserve the dash. There are comfortable back-support seat covers, nd original seats underneath are in good shape as shown. We installed a nice tinted sun roof and seal this summer. The screen is torn - we bought a new screen, nd some canvas thread and needle -- just ran out of time to do it, o we will pass that on to you.
If you have a kiddo and don't want to worry about them falling out of the top bunk (like us), e cut a piece of wood to fit in the extra space with a handle so you can easily install and remove it.
The tires are in good shape and relatively new. New brake line and throttle cable installed this summer (it was tune-up time!).
Many comparable vans are going for $13-$17,000. We are expanding our family and want to see this great van go to a good home with someone who will take it on many more adventures.
