Description of 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

A new 1600 cc engine was installed a few years ago and now has approximately 1500 miles on it. It was rebuilt by commercial rebuilder. A new clutch was installed when the engine was rebuilt. All gears positively engage and hold at all speeds. The car has a new wiring harness and carburetor. Steering is pretty tight and the car handles very well at all speeds. The top was replaced by the previous owner and is in very good condition. The car has newer tires and a new battery. Brakes work great and new rear brake hoses were installed.

Not sure how many miles are actually on the car but the odometer reads 16,794. The car was repainted by a previous owner and is overall in good shape. There are a few spots of bubbled paint but no rust through. There are a few small scratches on the body and bumpers and part of the rear light assembly is missing. The pan was repaired by a previous owner and has metal patch panels.

This car has been garage kept and it was never driven in winter. Selling due to lack of use. With little effort this could be a daily driver or it would make an excellent base for a full pan-off restoration.
