Description of 1987 Volkswagen Other

For sale is a 1987 Volkswagen Cabriolet for sale! I've owned this car for about 8 years and for the last 2 years it has been my daily driver. Car passed smog on 9/4/15 and registration is good through 6/2016. Please feel free to request more pictures of anything before bidding. Happy hunting ebayers!
I love this car, ut I just can't afford a place with a garage in Santa Barbara on a graduate student stipend--I also don't drive it much these days anyway and without a garage, ven the oil changes are a hassle.
The good:- Brand new battery (10/2015)- Very nice sound system: Alpine CDA-9855 cd player/head unit- Brand new rear seat cover (8/2015)- Top and front seats were re-done about a year before I got it, oth are in nice shape- Runs well!- belts (timing and accessory) replaced 2012-2013- Fuel injectors- Cat back exhaust ~5 years old- O2 sensor- Rear brake shoes (replaced 2015)- Rear brake cylinders (replaced 2015)- All four brake hoses (replaced 2015)- Brake master cylinder (replaced 2015)- Valve cover gasket- LED Side-marker, ash and gauge lights- Runs great, ery stable idle
The bad:- It needs an front end alignment--I wore down two front tires very quickly--I gave it another go aligning it myself, ut probably you should get it done at a place that offers "lifetime alignment" so you can just get it done periodically for free. Currently the front wheels are mismatched on zandvort rims--I have all four of the wheels pictured and a set of zandvorts to included.- Brakes are a bit spongey--it has lots of new brake system parts and it isn't leaking. I'm guessing it just needs to be bleed better, ut I'm not sure. The master cylinder, rake lines, nd rear wheel cylinders are all brand new, o there isn't much else that could need replacing.- Intermittent electrical issue (probably a grounding cable that needs replacing)
I've also got nearly a whole car's worth of spare parts includes engine/transmission, lternator, uel injectors, tarter, oses, alves, tc. --all those little parts that can really add up and with a nearly 30 year old car, t is nice to have them on hand! These are from a 1986 running parts car that I stripped down. I also have a stock-pile of brand new parts (10 oil filters, askets, ushings, tc, tc).
Pictures 8-12 depict some of the parts that I'm including. The first three pictures (8-10) show the used parts that I pulled from my parts car, he last 2 show brand new spares I have.

Selling the car as-is. Also note, he car has a salvage title--its a long story, ut I believe the reason is because a previous owner lost their CA title. The car hasn't been in any accidents since I've had (which is since about 2008) and I bought it with a clean title in Texas--when I moved to CA, he DMV informed me that it had been previously registered in CA as a salvage vehicle and I vaguely remember the previous owner telling me about losing the title and having to request a copy.
