Mint Condition Survivor... Museum quality UNRESTORED 1974 tin top Riviera with very rare factory Riviera camping tent. 27k miles on rebuilt original numbers matching motor, pdated to hydraulic valves. Mint original interior. I have every receipts from 1978 to 2015 in chronological order in a binder. The bus has its original sales contract and window sticker. This bus was bought new by John Shamburg at Carter Motors in Seattle Washington at a cost of $5355.00 on July 29th of 1974. Included is the business card of the sales man (Don Hansen) who sold John the Riviera, riginal window sticker, ales contract, riginal cancelled check,and all owners manuals. The van has only been driven sparingly since new and ALWAYS Garaged. This van has only 117k (FULLY DOCUMENTED) original miles. Absolutely ZERO RUST!!! The van looks looks like it just rolled of the show room floor in 1974 say for a few rock ships, inor nicks ect. The previous owners were meticulous when it came to the maintenance and general care and preservation of the van. Garaged since new, o really, araged since new... One key fits all locks. Stored for many years. Runs, rives, erfect. One of the best, f not the best original Rivieras in the country.
PAINT/ BODY- Original paint in near mint condition ( Neptune Blue paint code L-50k). I had the original bumpers and rims including the spare, and blasted and powder coated to the correct factory colors. The wheels were painted to the factory correct silver finish, umpers white. No wrecks or accident history. The body and door gaps perfect. The body is laser strait. This van looks as good as it did when it rolled of the factory floor in 1974. All lenses are perfect. Spotless under carriage. Front floors are perfect and paint still looks new (see picture). The factory under coating is in great condition. Zero cancer rust, ven the battery trays are perfect... The original paint was professionally polished and buffed out to a beautiful factory shine.
INTERIOR- The interior is in like new mint condition. The front seat upholstery and padding were the only thing replaced, very thing else in completely original and mint. Note all the original factory interior Formica decals and factory decals are still present and were never removed (see pictures). All the cabinets are mint, o chips, racks, cuffs ect. The factory linoleum floor looks new. All dome lights, ash lights, amping lights work. The dash is in mint codtion with no cracks. The rubber mats all look new. The heater works great. All electrical works perfect. The head liner and door panels are mint. The rear seat folds down into a bed rear bed. Nice Blaupunk 80's stereo. Original kick panels. The original door and ignition buzzer still works. Updated retractable three point front seat belt upgrade from GoWesty ($270). The head liner is perfect both front and rear. The entire interior just received a complete and profession detail.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION- This bus has only 117,000 fully documented original miles. The motor was rebuilt on 12/7/99 at 93,000 miles by well known VW and Porsche shop Akers in Seattle Wa, I have the receipt see pictures). The factory dual carb motor was updated to hydraulic valves eliminating the need to adjust the valves. The motor runs like a sewing machine and has plenty of power. New fuel filter, ebuilt carbs, epacked wheel bearings, lugs, ap rotor, resh oil change, ew clutch pressure plate, hrow out bearing, ew engine seal, ll fuel and vac lines, ew battery. The engine bay is absolutely spotless and still looks new (see pictures). (This bus runs and drives perfect.) This bus is ready for cross country driving.

OTHER- Rare factory Riviera tent. Five brand new tires correct truck rated tires. Factory tachometer. This bus came with factory under coating. The under carriage is dry and spotless clean. The hard to find factory window screens are in mint condition. New curtains all the way around including the front snap on curtain. New brakes front and rear. The van comes with its original smog/air pump that was removed for more power, riginal jack, ools, anuals, eat head rests, nd hubcaps.

This is not your average Riviera. This bus is in near mint museum quality condition. This is as close as you can get to a brand new 74VW busas you can get. Not many Riviera tin top campers were built making this a some what rare bus. The original owners took amazing care of this van. The van has only been driven sparingly since new. This bus has always been garaged since new. The interior is in mint condition. This bus is a time capsule that you just don't see every day, O RUST, o wrecks in over 30 years! This is one of the finest unrestored original bay window campers on the market and one of best in the country.
