Here foryour consideration is a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle. This car has lived its life in Southern California and has only been here in PA for about 3 years. I has been garage kept while here, nd has not been exposed to northeastern weather. The bright red paint looks good from a distance, ut when examined closer many imperfections can be seen. The interior is respectable but does show some wear. There is no radio in this car. The optional for 69 dash pad is cracked (but there is the old original metal dash underneath, ust peel the pad off) The car goes down the road great, ut Pennsylvania inspection has run out. The rear brakes however are not up to par and may need some attention (low fluid pressure). The car still stops, ust not like it should. The headlight switch is currently not working ($20 item) I may or may not have it fixed before the auction ends, f I do I will post it. Well there is all the bad I can think of at the moment, hough I may have missed something. I encourage any prospective bidders to call with any concerns they may have. One very good thing about this car is....NO RUST!!! If you have been looking at unrestored northeastern Bugs you are aware of what rust and corrosion are all about (floor boards falling off, oft or patched up floors, eater boxes and channels rotted off, tc) There is none of that to deal with on this bug, he heater and defroster even work. Battery is brand new, ires are new. The engine starts easily, nd runsvery well. Shifting and clutch are also good. At some point in its life it may have been pulled behind a motorhome because it has a tow bar hook-up and a light plug under the front bumper. This car would make a good base for a full restoration or with a little tinkering, riven in its present and respectable form. Even though I have put hundreds of miles on it recently, or liability sake because of the braking issue and the expired PA inspection I am going to be selling this as an "as is" project carThere has been a bit of recent work done, nd I have receipts for service and repairs dating back years. I will update the auction with anything I think may be helpful. If you would like to talk to me about the car or have any questions, r would like to schedule an appointment to come and see it my mobile number is 717-507-2365 and email is maxbrutus2@yahoo.com I can also text or email you pictures of any specific part of the car you would like to see.
