This is our one family 1971 Karmann Ghia. She was garaged and driven only in Arizona warm weather from 1972 to 1979 when my Dad passed away. He drove it as a fun second car there in Arizona and averaged about 5,000 miles per year in the dry summer months. A pre-sale inspection report from an Auto Specialist/Company is complete and available. I can send the pdf to you as requested. I took it over in 1995 and kept it garaged in Arizona for the next several years and drove it only about 100 miles per year. It has no road rust being in Arizona then, nd now in Colorado in a dry heated garage. Preventive maintenance is done every September as well as occasional tune-ups. **** Now it my turn to retire and downsize... my reason for selling. I have pics showing interior welds and seats, ash. It is absolutely original with very little wear. I would drive her anywhere in the US... unless it was snowing. Engine and drive train are perfect. No driving damage whatsoever---There are 2 small door dings and the right front fender was repaired and repainted when my Dad owned it. New tires, s well as a pre-sale maintenance check, ecently completed, y the auto shop that has done recent tune-up work and inspections on her. That is a PDF file and I can send it as requested. The clock stopped about 20 years ago. Might be a fuse. Never really worried about the time. We live at 9,000 feet and she is a zippy car at altitude and a rocket at lower elevations. NADA has her at more than $12,200. Again, o road rust or frame rust. Never been parked outside uncovered for the night or driven in bad weather. Email me for more info, ics, nd the vehicle inspection report. Fun Ghia ! |
