For a 40 year old car, she runs really well (even goes up and down the mountains of Colorado!). She has new tires, new fuel line, updated stereo system, new hoses, new canvas for the pop top, Yakama rack on top and includes a custom cover for when she's not out on the road having adventures. The odometer reads 21042. We are not sure if it is 121042 or 221042 miles. Car has been located in Colorado for 6 years. Before that it was located in Boston. There is some rust, which can be expected considering the age of the vehicle, but it has been checked out by a VW specialist and is in good condition. Everything works great except it does not currently have heat. If it wasn't for our ever expanding family, we'd keep her forever.
