Description of 1972 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

You will be bidding on a 1972 VW Bug. It runs and drives!! 1600 engine, 4 speed manual trans,
new starter, battery and exhaust. Great solid minimal rust free car ready for an ambitious
person to restore. I bought this car site unseen and when it was delivered I found many pieces
of the dash missing, wires dangling, wiper motor missing, etc. Did not complete the dash but
worked on getting most of the wires re attatched. I even put some of it in conduit to protect the
wiring. It was hit in the rear but was able to straighten out some of it but needs more work.
Engine lid has a gap in it between the edge and the fender. The car appears to be repainted
with a spray can from red to blue. Floor pans have some surface rust on them but not rusted
thru. I removed the carpet to inspect the pans and threw the carpet away cause it was garbage.
Brakes are in fair condition, probably need cleaning and adjustment. Clutch is good, no
chattering. 1st gear needs to be adjusted because it jumps out of gear. I love this car and
always wanted one but a recent medical condition is keeping me from working on it. I know I
will kick myself in the butt when its gone but maybe someday I'll get another. Don't let this one
get away....It will go fast! I have seen others that are all rusted out and junk or they want big
money. This car is reasonably priced for a quick sale. Email me with any questions you may
