Description of 1967 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic |
Here is a garage kept 1967 Bug. She is mechanically sound and is turn key, ready to go. The 1600cc engine is rebuilt and has about 80 miles on it. She also comes with an alternator, not generator I have 2 1/2" dropped spindles on it, as well as air shocks. It has Airlift kit # 25804 installed, if you want to bring the front to stock height She has '66 front fenders and an early decklid. The paint is OK and was not professionally done. The interior is nice. She has a Retrosound stereo and the dash IS NOT cut. She has a small amp, EQ in the glove box and (2) 12' speakers in the rear cargo area as well as (2) 6 x 9's She has a roof rack with surfboard, luggage etc as well. They are strictly for display purposes and are mounted securely to the roof rack. She has a factory sunroof and all new components were installed in 2010. The cranking gears will need to be adjusted She is not even close to being perfect. There are still some issues that needs fixed. The heater channels have some rust but are still solid. Also, there is some rust on the trunk floor. I replaced the driver side door bottom hinge as well as the backing plate. But due to the small working area where the door meets the hinge, I wasn't able to make the body work in that area look good. The hood and the doors will need to be adjusted. The doors shut good, just not perfectly In 2010, I used new tires, new Empi 5 rims, new bumpers, brackets and seals, new headlight assemblies, new tail light assemblies and seals, new floor pans, new body suspension bushings, new tie rod ends, new ball joints, new master cylinder, new brakes, new rotors, new wheel cylinders, new window seals, new windshield, new gas tank, new mirrors, new roof rack, rebuilt speedometer, new muffler and header, new aluminum running boards, new sun visors, new seat upholstery, new carpet, new steering wheel, home made headliner, new door panels, new arm rests, new seat belts and so on I also have the original door glass, extra Empi 5 still in the box and 3 totes full of parts that I will throw in as well. Some of the parts are still new in the box Again, she is far from being a $10,000 1967, but she is mechanically good and is turn key, ready to go Thanks for looking ****Clean Florida title in my name |
