1986 VOLKSWAGEN VANAGON WESTFALIA

My wife and I acquired this bus in April, 2007 from its first owner, a U.S. Marine major who took European delivery of it when new. He kept it in exceptional condition, meticulously recording all services, oil changes and repair detail. We have dedicated our ownership to keeping it in excellent mechanical and physical condition. We have happily used it as a camper, road tripper and daily driver. It has no rust. It is currently running as well as it ever has. This is a beautiful, completely functional “Westy.” It’s in excellent shape, ready for good use from its next owner. No Carfax findings. Report available.

It is powered by a rebuilt and rebored, water cooled, 2.45 liter engine, purchased from GoWesty, along with a rebuilt transmission, also from GoWesty. In the course of our ownership, we strived for reliability and performance of mechanical functions. It has been regularly maintained for our 9 years of ownership. A partial list of repairs and replacements include:

Engine rebuilt, including new clutch, in May, 2016
