Description of 1967 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic VW Bug |
The 1967 Volkswagen Bug Hello, My name is Al Rivera. I am a licensed broker and I have been hired by the family to sell this car . In fact, I have been hired to sell two Volkswagen Bugs and I have put them both on ebay for sale, at the same time, The owner had several classic cars in his estate, of which, they have been sold, but here are two Volkswagens, that he never got around to restoring, and were put into a family trust. They had been sitting in the back of his warehouse for some time. There is NO RESERVE ON EITHER AUCTION, as requested by the family. Up for this auction is a 1967 Volkswagen Bug/Beetle. I have taken the pictures of the Bug with my digital camera, and the pictures have not been manipulated or photo shopped for this auction. We found both VW Bugs dirty and not running. We brought them to an area where we could work on them. The '67 looks like a patchy yelllow, with chromed running boards. We had this bug cleaned inside and out. We did not do any body work of any kind, what you see is what you are getting. We cleaned and adjusted the brakes, we cleaned out the fuel tank, We completed an oil change and put in a new battery and got the engine running. The bug starts, steers and stops. We got the lights working, so that's a plus. We do not know if the 90,624 miles listed on the odometer are really the original miles or not. The engine does start up, and seems to run pretty well. We do not know if this is the original engine that came with the Bug or a replacement. The paint is old and patchy, the interior is there, each seat is a different color, and showing it's age. It seems to me that most everything you need to fix up a bug is there, and that's the fun part. To try and find a good solid bug that you can work on and slowly restore and get back to a full functioning car. I guess you might say rare southern California VW Bugs! We can't tell if the collector bought these cars in this condition, or he tried to work on them, hard to say. We have no history, no paperwork, but we do have the titles to both cars.Take a look at the pictures and it can kind of tell you what you are looking at. Some surface rust noted, the battery tray shows corrosion from battery acid over the years, but it seems like all the parts are there, so that you can make a nice bug of your own. This just might be your next hobby. Take a look and see if this is something that you would like to have and build into what you want. Offers are welcomed and can end the auction early. Now!
