Description of 1989 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Wolfsburg Edition

This vehicle is being Re-Listed due to the previous Buyer failing to get his wife's permission to buy it beforehand..........Can you believe that? So Folks, before you bid, PLEASE make sure you have the funds to buy it on your own and make sure that YOU have your wife/girlfriend/significant other's express permission to buy this vehicle and PLEASE make sure that you do intend to fully purchase this vehicle so you don't wind up wasting my time as well as yours AND don't wind up depriving other prospective buyers of their chances of owning it. I'm sorry I don't mean to offend anybody here but this is exactly what this person did. So, once again, here goes.............

Up for sale, is a very nice 1989 Volkswagen Vanagon Wolfsburg Edition "WHITESTAR" this is a TRUE survivor and is one of the cleanest ones I've seen in a long long time.

Original Pastel White paint, AC retrofitted to R-134A, Power Mirrors & Locks, NEW Yokohama Load-Rated Tires, New Pioneer CD Player, Battery, New Brakes, New Belts, New Spark Plugs. Recent Oil Change w/German Oil Filter. NEW Fuel Lines and Hose Clamps.

*. *this engine is equipped with AMC Cylinder Heads and fairly new looking Head Gaskets, indicating that the engine has had some work done to it at some point.

This vehicle is equipped with Dual Removable Rear-Facing Jump Seats, Fold-Out Dining Table, Fold-Out Rear Queen Bed. It has the original books and manuals that came with it. It is also equipped with a professionally installed Receiver Tow Hitch.

This Vanagon starts and drives real nice, with no undue noises or vibrations. The 4-speed transmission shifts smooth with no grinds or crunching. The suspension rides nice and the van goes over bumps nice and solid. It steers straight. The engine runs strong and smooth, with no strange noises.

The body is nice and straight, with a few very tiny non-noticeable dings here and there consistent with it being a 28 year old car. The original factory Pastel White paint is still nice and glossy. Being a Southern California car, it has no major rust issues except a tiny dime-sized spot at the lower edge of the Rear window and another tiny scratch on one of the rain gutters probably from installing Surf racks at some point, which have been touched up. The left Rear bumper end has some minor cracking on the lower edge not really visible unless you look up from under the car. Other than these minor items there is no real body damage, which indicates that it has been well taken care of during its life in a mature and careful manner.

The interior is pretty clean, with no rips or tears in the upholstery. The plastic cover over the flourescent tube light is cracked (available from Online Parts Houses for a few bucks). The Unique Wolfsburg Edition Grey Dashboard is in good shape. The Instruments work as they should.

The odometer reads 193k miles, about 5k of those miles I have driven myself. It has performed flawlessly during each and every one of those miles, and I am convinced that it will do equally well for many many more miles.

This is a Southern California car, purchased New in Ventura CA. It has the original Owner's Manual and Warranty Books.

Clean CA Title with Current Registration.

Overall, this is a very sharp looking Vanagon and a very nice survivor of automotive history.

I have tried to describe this vehicle as truthfully and honestly as possible, but if I left something out, please feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking and Good Luck with your bids!
