Description of 1984 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia |
1984 Westfalia AUTOMATIC with a Subaru Legacy 2.2 engine conversion! Body and interior are in good condition. No seam rust but, as it is original, the paint does have “character”. This 84 DOES have power steering! Canvas and camper equipment works and is all good. Functioning A/C..well, with all new lines and hoses, it works as well as they ever did… Correct tires on alloy rims. Dual battery system with charging system. Upgraded stereo system. Runs well, completely rebuilt braking system and recent head gaskets/timing belt and rebuilt transmission. Faster, quieter and generally more reliable than when it was new. “Can I drive it to <insert exotic location>???” Well..Yes and maybe..Look, I drive it all over and it has been used as a daily driver. So, I think it can, but as a used car, can anyone guarantee that? No, of course not. I really like this van BUT I needed more room for cargo so I’ve gotten a bigger (but not really any better) van for that use. Hate to see it go but heading to a good home will be OK too. Ask questions and I’ll post the answers here so everyone will know. Sold AS IS. Please understand that once paid for, it’s YOUR VEHICLE and I only want to hear about the good times you’re having driving it Pretty much you have to pay for the shipping. It doesn'tleave the drivewayuntil it's fully paid for, but I may be available to get it to you myself for a negotiated price, if you need it pretty quickly. |
