This auctions for a Custom 1973 Super Beetle.It was Fully Customized in 1980 driven until 1987 then stored.I got it from the original owner after 30 years in storage.The body has:57,xxx milesWide fenders with recessed lightsWide Keystone Classic wheelsTinted Bubble quarter windows and rear windowNew Running boardsAdjustable air shocks in the rear!
We went through the brakes and installed:Master CylinderBrake Lines, wheel cylinders and shoes
The car has a 1973 Dualport Engine.The engine is a 1641ccmeaning a 1600 with new 87mm Pistons and cylinders.I replaced the following:Distributor w/ electronic ignition (no Points)BoschVoltage RegularSpark Plug wiresCoilAlternator & BeltRefurbished Fuel TankFuel Pump and all Fuel LinesIntake manifold seals & bootsNew Merged Header exhaust w/ J tubes.
Now the interior!Radio Shack Realistic Cassette Player with Graphic EQThen,,,,Tan Velour everywhere!Seats, Door Panels, Headliner and parcel tray w/ speakers.Newer rebuilt Engine Runs Great.145-150 Cylinder CompressionAfter 30 years sitting it will need to be lubed up all around.Also will need heater channel on driver side and spot repair on passenger sideThere was a lot of time and money put into this car in the past.Will not take much to bring it back to its former glory!
