Description of 1988 Volkswagen Jetta Carat |
Here is one of the best examples of the mk2 jetta that you will find for sale. I'm the second owner. Always garage kept and the paint proves this. The interior is almost flawless. Seats are still as cushy as when it was new. This is the carat edition. It was the luxury model of the mk2 jetta. Power windows and door locks, sunroof, factory fog lights, automatic transmission, power mirrors, and even a ski sack in the rear armrest. Brand new tires and refurbished stock carat wheel. The engine is unmolested and has a brand new battery. The suspension is very tight and makes it fun to drive. You'll get "nice car" comments whenever you park this thing. I'm selling because I'm selling my house and won't have a garage or extra space to park it in. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Car fax notes: The car fax shows and odometer discrepancy because the odometer was replaced in 1998. The door jamb has a dealer mechanic sticker that indicates this and makes it legit. Total miles on the vehicle is appx. 187,438. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The original owner loved this car and had it for the first 29 years of its life. It was religiously maintained and you can see and feel this when you drive. Other notes: The rear shocks might need to be replaced as it sits a little low. Doesn't affect the drive much at all. The driver side seat has minimal signs of wear. Nothing major I just want to note it. There are some small spots of surface rust. I enjoyed this car for the last year and I hope to find an owner who knows how rare this find is and wants to keep it in good shape for years to come! |
