Description of 1965 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

I bought this car about 2 years ago to have some fun at the cruise ins and shows. I took it to one and had a lot of fun with the other VW people and who ever walked by. Parked next to a couple of "Hoolygans" from Circlevill, Ohio and they had cars like mine but theirs were finished, and they called mine a blank slate. Compared to theirs, I guess it is. It is ready for all your ideas to be put onto and into this bug. What we have here is a 65 VW Beetle that is needing some TLC. I am not too well versed withtodays VW Beetles and I will try to give a good description of everything, and you can look at the pictures also. The Motor: 1600 with dual port heads, 2 barrel carb, 12 volt alt., performance exhaust, aluminum performance lower pulley with degree numbers. Carb needs rebuilt. Stock tranny. The Body: Lowered with 3 inch narrowed front beam, frenched in tail lights, smoothed rockers with no running boards, new luggage rack on roof, fresh body work,( not much was needed ), a very thin layer of light grey primer was sprayed on. This car is ready for your ideas on a wild or mild paint job. Floor panhas been repaired at some point in it's life with flat metal welded in. Also has a dropped battery box for the new side post battery, I should have warranty papers, 2 months old. The Interior: It still has the original seat covers and are well used and needs new. It does have some fancy shag front seat covers from the former owners, ( Shag in wagon ). Still has the original headliner and previous owner bought new carpet and it is behind back seat in the many pieces as bought. It has a custom steering wheel and yes I will let the peace sign key fob go with the car. My Thoughts: I had envisioned a cool lowered down bug with a custom paint job that I could go to all the shows in with the wife, but I had a slight roofing accident and have a bunch of doctor bills that need to be paid. I feel that this would make a nice winter project for some one to finish and be proud of next spring. My last beetle was sold in 1971 and the parts that are sold for these cars today is unreal. If you have any question, just call me, Larry, at 1-614-875-0369. Car is located 25 miles south of Columbus,Ohio and I can deliver at a slight cost up to 500 miles. I have a trailer. Have fun bidding
