Description of 1959 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Standard |
| This is a 1959 model year Volkswagen bus and was built in October of 1958. The bus is a very solid and clean example unlike many unrestored buses found in the south east. It would be a good candidate to keep and drive original or for restoration. It has a 36hp engine with original crank start apron, engine tin and a reproduction crank. The bus Retains it's original six volt charging system and is driven locally about once a week. It is by no means perfect but a nice bus that is best to be seen in person. |
