Description of 1971 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon |
1971 VW Westfalia, No Reserve, No games, highest bidder owns this bus! Runs, drives great, very clean, new pop-top canvas, beautiful exterior and interior, ready to camp Meet "Kermit", she’s a 1971 VW Westfalia, pop top camp mobile. A great runner/driver with all the interior in great condition, all interior components are original: Z bed, jump-seat, table, still has all the original seat belts, 110 A/C outlet works great and we will include the new 20’ heavy duty extension cord. New curtains, new vinyl flooring, new upholstery, storage in closet, back cabinet, under jump-seat and Z bed, also while camping with top up there's a lot of storage on the tin roof above front seats. All gauges, are in working order, including fuel gauge, which is rare. Also all lights, blinkers, flashers, back-up lights, brake lights, wipers, and license plate light work great (as seen in video at the bottom of this ad) Brand new pop-top canvas, with 3 zippered windows and new seals. All glass is good. Exterior is in great condition. One repaint in the 90’s, new rubber bumper steps. Very few battle scars for her age. 5 new tires including spare have less than 500 miles on them. Rust is very minimal mainly a bit on front floor boards, as usual. (As seen in the last couple pics) 1600cc engine, dual port, dual carbs, new heads and valve job within last 10k miles, new alternator, distributor wires, and exhaust, new master cylinder reservoir, gave her a fresh oil change, tune-up and valve adjustment, transmission works great, shifts nicely. We just took her camping a couple of weeks ago and as usual she was the talk of the campground. (The 71’s are the most desirable as this was the last year of the bay windows to have the upright motor and the first year to have disc brakes) Though she’s not 100% restored, she’s well on her way! Title in hand You’re welcome to come by our place and check it out, however, in all fairness to the auction and bidders, we will not end the sale early and will only sell our bus through this eBay auction. Our place is located ¼ mile off I-5 exit so very easy for pick-up or shipping/transport "Kermit" is ready to make some more wonderful memories! Happy bidding and remember, no reserve!
