I have owned this vehicle since 1994 where I acquired it in Auburn, Alabama. During its early years in the South, the silver paint faded in the Alabama sun, typical of the silver paint on these Volkswagen's. Since my ownership, it has been kept in a heated garage and used lightly for local errands. It was driven in summer months only.
This truck is an original gasoline model, not a converted diesel. It has a 5-speed manual transmission. Everything works as it should with the exception of the air conditioning. It is rust free as the pictures show. Drive it as is or with a repaint, it would be a great looking truck.
