We purchased this beautiful VW bus in Seattle in the spring of 2018 and drove it all the way up to our home in Alaska. It chugged right along and made the trip with no issues. This vehicle is ready to go as is. We put in a rear seat converter kit. When folded down, it gives about 6.5 feet of sleeping space in the rear. Exterior is in very good condition; interior is fine but could use some TLC. The vehicle has close to 74,000 miles on it, but has a re-built engine (air-cooled EFI 2.0L, long block), that was installed in 2013 (mileage at that time was 66,692). Since we have owned it (mostly in preparation for our trip) the vehicle has had the following work: replace turn signals, replace front brake pads, pack wheel bearings, install brake hoses, service rear brakes, new Cooper tires, replace speedometer cable, replace front tie rod ends and ball joints. We hate to part with this fun VW bus, but can't afford to keep what is essentially a summertime vehicle here in Alaska.
