Description of 1966 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon |
Here is a wonderfully preserved German Made, 1966 VW Bus Transporter Bus for sale. The previous owner restored it in/or around 2010 and installed a 1915cc engine with 2 empi carburetors prior to my purchase; and I have only driven it no more than 300 miles since I acquired it. It has also been lowered to a very presentable and comfortable stance. The bus also has disc brakes in the front. Mechanically speaking, the bus starts on the first try, every time and drives wonderfully; no transmission issues. There are no issues with the suspension or electrical system. The pictures speak for themselves regarding the body, paint and interior. It is solid all around, virtually rust freewith no known history of accidents. The floors, dog leg areas, jacking pointsand frame are very solid(see photos) all around. There is a small dent/scratched area on the passenger side rear quarter close to the rear bumper area(see photo). The upholstery is just about as perfect as you can get other than a show car. It has functional safari windows in the front as well as a pop-out safari style rear window so you can have a wonderful air circulation while driving even in the most humid or arid conditions. The two roof racks pictured are of course, included on the sale. The chrome hubcaps are already showing some pitting as well as the rest of the chrome around the bus. However, the overall condition is as nice as it gets. Once again, the pictures can express a lot more than I can with words. The engine compartment is clean as a whistle(see photos that include surrounding area). Of course, there is a small oil leak just as every other Volkswagen in the world! Inspections are welcome by appointment. I am willing to ship worldwide after funds clear. I am also willing to store the vehicle for a reasonable period of time until buyer makes shipping arrangements. I can also assist with placing buyer in touch with a transportation company that can move your vehicle worldwide. I highly encourage all potential buyers to schedule an appointment to view the bus in person or send an agent or friend on your behalf. Pre-purchase inspections should be performed before you purchase the vehicle and not afterwards. So, please be courteous and keep your commitment if you happen to be the highest bidder. Bottom line, serious buyers only. This vehicle is SOLD AS IS with NO WARRANTIES WRITTEN OR IMPLIED. The bus is also listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime without notice. Please feel free to ask questions. The 24 photos used to "glance" at this vehicle truly do not do it any justice; I also have about an additional 100 photos that I will gladly share with serious potential buyers. No hidden agendas here. Happy Bidding! |
