Description of 1963 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic |
This is my 1963 VW Beetle.Titled and insured in my name. The car had a full body off pan restoration that was completed in mid 2013.I bought it from the previous owner a professional boat restoration specialist in early 2014.The car comes with a huge folder of documentation showing all his invoices and receipts from vendors such as Wolfsburg bugs,So Cal Bugs,Powder coating shops, plating shops etc, etc. The list of components is massive.I decided in early 2014 to upgrade to a C.P.R.,Chico Performance Racing 2110.I used Chico to build my 2080 for my bus and it has been going strong for 8 years now.Chico builds incredibly reliable strong leak free powerfull motors. He is indeed one of the best builders in the country in my and many others opinion. If you haven't heard of C.P.R. do some research on the Samba are videos on you tube.I of course have the receipt as well as dyno sheet for this engine,It cost me 7300.00 in 2014.On dyno day it made 143 plust horsepower and 137 ft pounds of torque. The body is straight as an arrow,The paint is still thick and beautiful,no runs, drips, orange peel.It is a gorgeous light green that unfortunately does not show how beautiful it realy is on my camera. It realy should be seen. All bright work, trim, bumpers moldings still very nice 6 years after the restoration. There are only very few tiny rock chips about the size of a pinhead and a very small rub mark on the very front underside of the nose that can only can be seen if you are down on your knees.Just a beautiful little Beetle. The engine starts immediately with the aid of the upgraded billet aluminum electronic distributor and coil pack,Settles down to a nice idle and warms quickly,This little Beetle gets with the program in a hurry!I have put less than 1000 miles on it since I have had it.I have maintained it well.Three oil changes with filters and valve checks each time.It has only required adjustment once in those three times. It has a new battery and last service was done 12/8/2018 wich included an over all under chassis check, wheel bearing repacking, Valve adjustment and oil and filter change. The underside of this bug is also very solid and clean. I have much more to tell you about this bug including detailed info about the engine internals and other things.PLEASE call and ask questions rather than message back and forth so that you can accurately understand what your getting, are better yet schedule an appointment and come see it your self.I am a 60 yr old life long air cooled enthusiast and have loved this little bug but I am trying to finish a 73 Porsche 911 T that is burning hole in my wallet and I need to generate the funds needed to finish it.I can be reached at 832 641 8666 from 11am until 11 pm.. |
