Description of 1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia |
FIFTY YEAR ANNIVERSARY SALE!!!!!!!!!!! 1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible 1500 S This is a beautiful vintage vehicle, VIN # 149139704. The mileage is 69,099, it was originally purchased from Vern Hagestad Motor Company, 8000 West Colfax Avenue Belmont 7-9581, Denver, Colorado in November of 1968. The partial Denver dealer logo is on the engine cover compartment. This vehicle has been consistently garaged and always owned in Colorado. There is no visible rust, there are 6 minor body dings that were not removed but are not extremely visible. I am the third owner with all of the original manuals, and all current and previous receipts from the previous two owners. This vehicle has the rare automatic stick shift transmission, requiring no clutch to shift. There is a minor oil leak diagnosed as potentially coming from the rear main seal that was not observed until after driving it to have the single port carburetor replaced and electrical system checked for issues back on September 21st, 2018. The interior has been re-upholstered, the convertible top and carpet has been replaced with attention to details, which includes a new black convertible top boot. The windshield was removed, replaced with new seals so the upper dash board that was cracked could be replaced. The original simulated wood grained dash and glove box cover that were cracked have both been replaced. Tail lights lens, reflective rear end side markers and seals including front headlights and vent seals are new due to being 50 years old in a dry climate state. I replaced both double polished aluminum lower side trim rails. A 10 layer indoor outdoor waterproof breathable car cover is included. The tires still have the new nubs on the sides, very little wear. I purchased this as a project vehicle in June of 2015 and have performed substantial upgrades and repairs for the fourth owner to appreciate and enjoy. Thank you for your interest inthis rare classic Volkswagen! If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me? Greg 303 619-7166
