Everyone knows the VW Beetle or Type I, and most people know about the Super Beetle that was introduced in 1971 offering a larger more powerful 1600 CC twin port engine, but the biggest thing was overall size and space that the Super offered. It offered 43% more luggage capacity and rear leg room which was huge for families. It also offered a smoother ride with the MacPherson strut front suspension that was incorporated and other things like the energy... absorbing wheel. It also incorporated some more user friendly features with interior redesign. Now for the fun part, this Beetle was purchased new in Big Rapids MI by a company owner for his secretary. She drove the car until the Mid- 1980's when she willed the car back to the Gentleman that bought it for her. And from there went the car was then willed to his son who has had the car for the last twenty years. This Enzian Blue VW has never had any paint work done ever. It still sports the original interior, in fact the seller says the only thing ever changed on the car has been the tires and windshield wipers. The car has been kept up with oil changes and routine maintenance but other than that is untouched. It has covered just under 60,000 miles from new and sports the VW Auto Stick that operates very good. This is such a cool story on a great vehicle. There are subtle body flaws but still represents very well with out any major rust issues to speak of. This Bug starts, runs and drives very well with no leaks or smoke.
