Description of 1967 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic |
Beautifully Restored 1967 VW Bug in Excellent Condition! This car has been completely gone through inside and out, and received the full restoration treatment. It was an original California Car, and purchased here locally in Southern California. The body is very straight with a dry underbody. First thing that you will immediately notice is the stunning color and body work on this Bug, which is where this truly shines. The car was completely dissembled and taken down to sheet metal. The color is Dove Blue, an earlier Volkswagen color, and it looks nothing short of spectacular on this 67'. The photos do not do it justice, it looks that beautiful in person, especially under direct sunlight. Complimenting the exterior is a fresh suite of new accessories, such as new classic style front and rear bumpers, turn signal assemblies, side mirror, headlights, and more. Another spotlight feature is the brand new stainless steel luggage rack that sits atop the car, and completely brings it to life. New powder coated VW Smoothie Wheels have been painted to match the car, and are outfitted with a set of new white wall tires. Mechanically, there is a 1600cc powering this bug with a high performance carburetor. The motor was pulled out of the car and completely gone through. The previous owner stated it was rebuilt, however there isn't any documentation to prove his claim. But I can personally say it drives incredibly strong. Many new parts were added as we serviced the motor, such has new spark plugs, cables, coils, and more. Transmission shifts smooth, and we also had a new clutch installed as well. Drum brakes are present both front and rear, and stop on a dime. The suspension is adjustable, as you can notice we lowered it for a more sporty and aggressive stance. New exhaust tips were also purchased new and installed. Moving into the interior, you'll receive the same level of quality. You're presented with a new carpet kit, gray vinyl seat covers front and rear, new headliner, new steering wheel, new grab handle, and much more. There is a great sound system with (2) 6x9 speakers, 10" subwoofer, amp, and headunit w/ bluetooth. As all 1967 models, this does have the 12 volt system. This 1967 Bug is one of a kind, and a turn key car, ready for summer time fun. It's mechanically reliable and strong, and the color is what will keep people staring at you. It has a clean California title, and ready for a new owner. 1967 is a very unique and desirable year for Volkswagen, and will only appreciate in value over time.
