Please read entire listing! I have my 1983 rabbit GTI for sal, it's rust fre, original pain, has blue interior that's in excellent shape. I bought this almost 3 years ago when I lived in Florida, I put a 1.8t from a 2004 GT, engine has 68k mile, engine was cleaned and painted, everything on it is ne, hose, water pump, sensors . I put IE forged rods in the block to handle the power . Most parts where purchased from S&, google it if you are not familiar. Plug and play harnes, including drive by wire gas peda, has OBD port . Custom S&P radiator with fan and relay, custom motor and trans mount, oil cooler with fa, front mount intercooler. United Motorsports tune with promaf, 660 injector, FSI coilpack, Garrett t3/t4 turb, purchased new, precision wastegat, fordge d, walhbro fuel pump, custom down pipe with v-ban, tectonics tuning exhaust with magnaflow muffler . Nothing has been cut or permanently modified on the ca, every gauge works including rpms, has oil pressure,oil temp, boost, vdo gauges and Aem wideban, Transmission is 02, rebuild with wavetrac LSD, with recommended oi, eurovan cable conversation with S&P linkage conversation. Clutchnet clutch and pressure plat, Raxels axels. Corrado 11" front brake, new calipers and rotors, stainless lines . Mk4 Rear brakes disc conversio, purchased new including hubs, hawk pads all around. Wilwood proportions valve . Suspensio, ST coil over, front triangle ba, rear 28 mm autotech sway bar, new poly rear beam bushing, new front a arms with bushing, Dunlop direzza tires, 15x8 snowflake replicas. Interior is a solid 8 out of 1, some fading on rear panel, seats are excellent, headliner is perfect, dash is excellent, deck lid is perfect, carpet is excellent. I replaced door window seals on both sides. I have original owners manua, original steering wheel and original radio all included . Exterior is original paint, a few spots the paint is worn through, couple dings on the front fende, all that can be easily touched up . I have new stripe set I can include. Now the ba, I started the car over 2 years ag, since then I moved from Florida to Main, haven't had much time for it with the new hous, I finally completed the car to sell a few months ag, while out on a drive last wee, the timing tensioner nut came off and bent the valves, my fault . I just don't have the time for this ca, I did reset the timing, engine spins freely so their should only be damaged valves . All it needs is a new head or the valves replaced. I have been a member there for years and have built and sold several cars with happy customers. $300, a head gasket, some head bolts and a weekend you can have a clean 350 whp mk1 GT, these cars are only going up in price and extremely hard to find this clean . I'm not desperate to sel, worse case I will throw the cover on it in the garage and fix it over the winter. I do have another 1.8t bottom end with 60 k but no hea, original suspension with H&R stock height springs with KYB shocks I can include. I have a video clip of it running before the timing tensioner nut came off . I can also send more pics . Feel free to come look at the car.
