Offered here by the Western Antique Air and Auto Museum is Ron Arants hand made 1969 Beetle show car as featured in hot VW's magazine in June of 1988 (the original magazine goes with the winning bid) Article can be viewed on WAAAM website (www.waaamuseum.org)
This VW has 3" chopped top with 58 small rear window, B pillars are removed, entirely shaved, fenders and running boards widened 2", custom dash, suicide doors with electric push button latches, beautiful grey plaid interior and Royal Red paint job. It now has a 1600 hipro engine with twin carbs, very fast.
It has Cooper Cobra tires with custom spun aluminum wheel covers. It is sold as is which is which is a broken drivers side window, ignition switch requires a little wiggle, small tear in passenger running board material, small scuff on top of passenger door paint. (all pictured).
