Were proud to offer this 1971 Volkswagen Dune Buggy. Back in the 60's anyone who was into cars would be hard-pressed not to find an ad in the back of a Popular Mechanics or Hot VW's magazine for a does it yourself dune buggy kit. The '60s and '70s were a great time for outdoor leisure activities and beach buggies were all the rage. Built off of a reliable easily maintained VW pan and drive train it's easy to see why these were a great choice for recreational automobiles. The 1600cc flat-four VW engine was rather peppy and once you remove all of the sheet metal and put a lightweight fiberglass body on top and you have the makings of something very quick. This one has a high gloss Yellow exterior/that makes it pop.
