Selling my rare bus to make space for other projects

For sale is 1968 VW Doublecab, I bought back in 2015 from OK and did most of the work to it so I can answer any questions you have. The doublecab works great and gets a lot of attention and generates lots of smiles. The 1600cc engine runs great with no leaks. I have a folder of my receipts and previous owners, this was VW dealership parts bus in Oklahoma originally.

Work completed over my ownership – Over $14,000 in receipts

  • Rocker Panels, front floor, behind front bumper, battery tray all replaced by Herrell's Bus in Carrolton, Ga

  • new windshield

  • new window and door seals

  • new interior – seats, panels, and headliner

  • new starter, ignition, wiring harness, electronic ignition, master cylinder

  • new pop out rear glass

  • new radio

  • custom rear seat pedestal with built in drawer

  • custom rear rack

  • New wood slats

  • Wagons west narrowed beam

  • disk brake kit

  • drop spindles and horseshoe in rear

  • PPG paint – Dove blue and Cloud white

    • Issues with Doublecab

    • Dash pad has two cracks

    • Metal dash had rust repair and coated with POR-15, but rust left dash pitted

    • When cold, sometimes 2nd is stuborn to get into, once warm no issues

    • Pops fuse on occasion

    • Body repair could have been finished better, there area areas where you can see the repair

    To sum up the Doublecab, it is a fun drivers quality vehicle that is rare and gets a lot of attention.
