Description of 1974 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Super Gold Bug |
1976 Volkswagen Super Beetle Gold Bug, 1-Owner, Texas Estate Vehicle. This vehicle was purchased new by a local doctor (then student) in 1974. He kept and maintained it in Texas his whole life. In 2014, this vehicle went through an extensive restoration which included new paint, brakes, engine, upholstery, and more. The true mileage is unknown. The current engine has 4,600 miles on it since it was put in. Features include: Nut Brown Sport Seats, Sunroof, Wood Finish, Alpine AM/FM/CD Player Audio System, 4-Speed Manual Transmission, Flow Through Ventilation System, And Much More. A Sure To Please. This Beetle is in above average condition for the year and mileage. The exterior is in above average condition for the year and mileage. It shows very few signs of rust currently. It appears there was some rust on the left rear exterior pillar prior to the re-paint. The undercarriage looks fantastic. The interior is in above average condition for the year and mileage. The seals appear to be a bit weather worn and I would suggest replacing. A speaker is also held in place with some tape. Mechanically, the vehicle runs great. It is a bit tricky with the ignition, but fires right up and drives well. While not a cream puff, this is a fantastic example of a Beetle that you would be hard pressed to find nicer. |
