1977 Super Beetle Convertible Well, here we go!I bought this car from California about 10 years ago and she underwent an extensive restoration / customization with basically no cost spared.The engine was changed from fuel injection to carburetor.The highlights are as follows:Custom 7 layer paint, Inferno Pearl RedCustom upholstery, Chalk WhiteNew Convertible Top, Chalk WhiteCustom Dash, Chalk White w/ tacho, oil temp and clockNew wood steering wheelNew Carpet w/ noise reducing underlayment throughoutAll new rubber seals195/60-15 tires on original German ATS rimsNew 1600cc DP engine (app. 1200 miles) build by Air Cooled Engineering, now Blackline Racing, LLC in UtahNew Carb - 30 PICT and distributor restored by Vintage Werks ( www.vintagewerks.com )Bored for full flow and equipped with oil filterLowered and stiffened front end w/ custom coil springs and new bushings, etc.Completely rebuild floor pan, protected in POR 15Wherever possible, the original German parts were restored and reusedAll new brake system incl. new calipers and discsAll chrome redoneUnfortunately, a small mishap led to some small scratches on the front left fender (see picture).All in all, I would give the car an 8.5 to 9 out of 10Well, if you are interested, contact me with your questions and we can talk.
