Description of 1992 Volkswagen Corrado |
1992 Corrado VR6 California carThinking about letting go of my most prized 1992 VW Corrado. I've had 2 before. Love these cars. They are now getting so rare, value keeps climbing. Going through a divorce. But really she just needs a home with a garage. I love her too much to keep her out here in the elements. I've owned her for a couple years. Car was supercharged when I bought it. Took that off due to continuous belt slip issues and sold it. A/C removed. But have all the A/C parts. Car has under 100k but I'd have to calc it out as the cluster was swapped due to failure by previous owner. But somewhere around 93k -95k miles. Body kit, carbon hood, momo shift knob & steering wheel, neuspeed rear triangular tie bar, nuespeed front tie bar (currently off car) full TT borla exhaust, including cat (cat currently off) California Cat on car currently, in 02 the following work was done by new dimensions, replaced head gasket, timing chain & tensioner, fidanza lightened flywheel, nuespeed clutch, head stud kit by raceware, quaife LSD, replaced syncros & gear oil, valve work, new dimensions oil cooler, carbon fiber engine cover, KCD poly engine mounts, momo pedals, installed bilstein coilovers & new bushings, In 04 SSR wheels installed. STOPTECH BRAKES, rear slotted rotors from ECS, H&R rear sway bar, In 06 HID ecodes, In 17 new stereo installed, new rear lights, mk4 alternator, I purchased in September of 17. Chased down some electrical gremlins, installed new alternator, cleaned grounds, after alot of hassle the problem was no idler pulley on the supercharger belt. After belt warmed up would not charge /spin alternator adequately. That's where I pulled the supercharger and got rid of it. Car has never had any more problems after that. Installed new touchscreen head unit, lightweight pulleys, NEW Heater core....(joy of removing the dash ) made piping out of carbon fiber and custom cold air intake that draws from down low out of the engine compartment. Put brand new tires. Bought passaat moonroof, new front H&R sway bar, short shifter, (all 3 not yet installed) new shorty antenna, yellow caps for HBeams, and I'm sure I am forgetting a few other things. I really dont want to sell her, but she needs a roof over her head and I live out in the country. I bought her as a commuter, but love her so much I'm always scared shes gonna get tboned, or rock chips, door dings, or beating up the body kit from going over railroad tracks. She drives perfect, pulls hard, shifts smooth, Has typical Corrado issues, ABS light, sunroof broken. Belts intermittent..But besides that is super clean for a 28 year old car. Car has new tires and new battery. Car will come withPassat moonroof to swap out, with 2 new extra cables brand newTT / BORLA CATSpare gauge cluster out of a 93 SLCBrand new front H&R sway barBrand new motor mounts bushingsBrand new short shifterAll A/C partsExtra AlternatorSpare new belt Looking to get into a clean R32 or GTI and commute in that. My Landcruiser is a fat hog on gas.. Any questions? Hit me up. Need more photos? Hit me up. Will ship on buyers dime and coordinate. 500$ deposit within 24hours of auction close. |
