Description of 1973 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Type 2/Microbus/Adventurewagen |
About this vehicleThis 1973 Volkswagen Type 2 is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle is drivable and is not regularly driven. Seller's NotesIncludes air conditioner kit new in box with vintage restored front blower ($2000 value, still sealed in new boxes). Currently has vintage heater system taking up that space. Propane tank untouched since I’ve owned it. Same with water tank and 110v system. Comes with original seat belts, stereo, etc. in box. Only change I made was custom purple 3-point belts for driver and front passenger seats safety. Tires have less than 100 miles on them, just had both carburetors rebuilt by reputable mechanic. Comes with almost 50 years of meticulous manuals, repair records, receipts, guidebooks. This vehicle was originally imported from West Germany to Sylmar, California, where Adventurecampers converted it into the bubble bus, then it went to upstate New York for a long time, then Fort Collins Colorado, then Santa Fe, NM, then Albuquerque for the last few years. Adventurewagen on Wikipedia Adventurewagen Brochure (from Thesamba): Obviously has some rust but the dry desert climate agrees with it and other than the usual spots is low on the rust considering its age. Own a piece of living history from the last time gas prices were this low.VideosExteriorInteriorNote the comfy sheepskin seat covers. Special starting method as is common with the year.EngineDouble Weber carburetors, aircooled. Premium gas recommended (all I've ever put in it).Deposits are nonrefundable.Created on the eBay Motors app |
