1987 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia Camper Van
This bus has been completely overhauled and renovated. It started its life as a clean CA van. I purchased it in dreams of making it the ultimate family traveling camper. With a blessed Surprise our family grew and we never even got to take one trip in the van. just about everything is brand new or overhauled upgraded. I spent almost a year and a half rebuilding the bus. I have all the picture of the restoration along with documented part numbers and resources used for future reference.The bus is ready to go.Here are a few major important upgrades- Engine rebuild less then 5k miles ago
- Complete cooling system overhaul including new radiator. all fittings all cooling lines replaced with stainless Steel line kit
- Body stripped checked for rust, no rust found, body work completed and repainted to factory spec (PPG paint)
- All rubber seals replaced with German OE parts (Door seals, window seals, hatch seals etc)
- Band new 16" wheels and tire combo
- AUX battery set from GoWesty with sealed battery
- Water system overhaul, new water lines to facet and tanks, new water pump, new upgraded faucet.
- All new camp connections
- Refrigerator overhauled with upgraded cooling fan and works on 12v, propane and 110vAC
- Propane tank removed and completely overhauled with all new valves and fittings
- New German Pop-Top
- Bilstein HD Shock upgrade all around
- Suspension leveled
- Vintage Trans-Awn2000 Awing found, restored and mounted
The Bad:- Stereoneeds attention works but not good, missing lower door speakers, Have grills for rear
- USB plugs ran to custom mount on back side of sink and mounted, wires ran but not connected to Aux battery
- Could use a new main battery (AUX battery is new and good to go)
- Van has A/C but componentshave been removed
There is SO much more to list, i have pages and pages of GoWesty and BusDepot receipts. Check the the pictures, ask question, please be sure to have funds and decision ready when bidding. As mentioned above this is supreme restore and ready to go on the road. I made sure all was perfect NOT to get stranded and left in the hands of random mechanics. All major service has been completed. Don't be a fooled by a low priced van as they can be nightmares and killing with repairs and parts. Over a year with hundreds of hours of professional labor. no cut corners, no short cuts.
