1969 VW Volkswagen Westfalia Camper Bus. Rebuilt engine, New Interior. No Reserve!
Up for sale is a nice 1969 Westfalia Camper bus. Engine was just rebuilt less than 500 miles ago. Starts right up and runs great! Brakes are good. Transmission shifts nicely. This bus is mechanically sound and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere.
Exterior- Body and paint are pretty nice but not perfect as to be expected for a 51 year old bus. Bus was painted by previous owner several years ago and looks decent but not perfect. I am sure there is some filler here and there but pretty straight overall. Paint is a a matte finish and looks good but up close there are some imperfections.
Interior- This bus just got an interior restore. All brand new professionalism upholstery. Turned out awesome! All brand new wood camping interior based off the exact template as a stock Westfalia interior. Sanded and stained and look beautiful. Custom matching curtains. Extra jump seat with double insulated ice chest underneath. Bench seat folds down and makes a bed. Nice wood floor. Newer pop top canvas in good condition. Tinted windows for extra privacy. Bluetooth stereo and speakers. Previous owner dynomated (sound reduction) pretty much the entire bus. The interior shows very nice and gets complements everywhere it goes.
Mechanical- 1600cc engine was rebuilt with less than 500 miles. Engine was taken apart and put back together. Runs great! Starts right up and drives nicely with lots of power. Trans shifts smooth with no problems. Brakes are good. Mechanically, this bus is sound and ready for the road. Tires are decent but have some weather cracking. New owner might want to replace soon. All electrical works as it should.
Needs- Someone along the way cut out a skylight in the fiberglass top. It does not leak and is actually kind of cool but would probably need some maintenancesoon to avoid leaking. Usual rust in battery tray area.
