1987 Volkswagen Westfalia Syncro. 2.1 F.I. four cylinder engine, Four speed manual transmission with additional low speed traction gear and rear differential lock. The vehicle is equipped with power windows, electric door locks, power steering and brakes, A/C with front and rear heat. We purchased this vehicle as a father-son summer project. We have little knowledge of the vehicle history other than it has been in inside storage for about ten years. That being said, we have replaced the battery, master cylinder and brakes, clutch master and slave cylinder as well as the disc and pressure plate. The fuel pump, filter and tune up are new. The load correct 185R14C are also new. The vehicle runs well, the shifting is smooth and the steering is tight. The all wheel drive operates as intended. The body is in above average condition as is the interior. The camping equipment all seems to be functional. The tent on the pop top is new as well as the top seal. There is a new child cot for above the front seats included. We have lost our indoor storage so there are a few things on the to-do list that we are unable to finish. The speedometer quit on our first trip. Since the vehicle sat for so long, the rear differential locker rod has some corrosion and is difficult to move. (we did manually move the rod and the rear differential will lock). Feel free to ask questions if I may have forgotten something. Good luck bidding.
