This is a 1962 VW Beetle with a 1968 convertible body.Their is a heavy duty transmission (swing axle) with a freeway flyer fourth gear for east freeway driving … transmission just recently rebuilt by Artigas in Pahrump, NV. Heavy duty axles.The engine is a big motor … 2332 with 8.5 to 1 compression for east cruising but power when needed.Previous owner has a bag of receipts for a 20,000 build over 20 years.I have recently had the motor rebuilt on top end with new heads and transmission had to be rebuilt recently … engine and trans have less than 20 miles on them.The convertible top does not seal perfect around the side windows … car should be kept under carport or a garage to protect from seasons.There are a couple things left to finish up … the speedo stopped working but I have a few to replace it with. The windshield needs replaced but that’s included along with new seal. The exterior door handle on driver side is not opening .. I hope to have this fixed before buyer arrives.
